Position Summary
The Graphic Design & Creative Coordinator supports the visual identity and creative development of The Wave Placemaking and its programs, including Taste Asia Food & Culture Festival, Off The Eaten Path, food literacy initiatives, workshops, markets, and community events.
Working closely with the Marketing & Storytelling Coordinator and other team members, this role is responsible for designing promotional materials, event branding, merchandise, digital assets, and visual communications that help bring The Wave's programs to life.
The successful candidate will combine creativity with strong organizational skills, helping ensure that all visual materials are delivered on time and aligned with project goals, audience needs, and current design trends.
This position is ideal for someone interested in graphic design, branding, marketing, creative direction, web design, and community-based storytelling.
Key Objectives

Responsibilities
Graphic Design & Branding
- Design promotional materials for:
- Taste Asia Food & Culture Festival
- Off The Eaten Path
- School Food Literacy Programs
- Studio Workshops and Events
- Community Markets and Festivals
- The Wave Placemaking organizational initiatives
- Create:
- Posters
- Flyers
- Social media graphics
- Event programs
- Signage

- Sponsorship materials
- Presentation decks
- Digital advertisements
- Ensure consistency with established brand guidelines and visual identity standards
Merchandise & Product Design
- Assist with the design of:
- T-shirts
- Hoodies
- Tote bags
- Stickers
- Pins
- Event merchandise
- Promotional products
- Prepare production-ready files for vendors
- Research new merchandise ideas and market trends
- Assist with merchandise planning and inventory coordination
Website & Digital Design
- Support website updates and visual improvements
- Design web graphics, landing pages, and digital assets
- Assist with user experience and visual layout recommendations
- Collaborate on future website development projects
Experience with Webflow is required.
Knowledge of:
- User experience (UX)
- User interface (UI)
- Website content management

Production Coordination
- Prepare print-ready files
- Coordinate with printers and production vendors
- Assist with ordering and tracking printed materials
- Support quality control for printed products and merchandise
- Manage design asset organization and file management
Creative Research & Trend Monitoring
- Monitor design, marketing, and social media trends
- Research emerging visual styles and audience preferences
- Contribute creative ideas during campaign and program planning
- Help ensure materials remain fresh, engaging, and audience-focused
Ideal Candidate
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong graphic design portfolio
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
- Experience with Canva and other digital design tools
- Experience designing for both print and digital formats
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
